Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 October 2026
SquadBase is provided by Goals for Growth Ltd ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use SquadBase you agree to these terms and are contracting with Goals for Growth Ltd.
The service
SquadBase is an online team app for grassroots sports teams in the UK: fixtures, kit, venues, availability, line-ups and stats, shared with parents and coaches through invite codes.
Accounts
- You must be 18 or over, or have authority to act for your club or organisation.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Team owners are responsible for who they invite and for the accuracy of their squad.
Plans and invite codes
A team becomes live once its subscription is paid. Each plan includes a set number of invite codes. A code counts towards your plan when it is created. Removing a member does not give back a used code. Deleting a player gives back their parent code only if it has not been used.
Payments, renewals and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or season until cancelled.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or for spam;
- upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- interfere with security, spread malware, probe, scrape or overload the service;
- reverse engineer, resell or get around plan limits.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add (team details, logos, players, results). You give us a limited licence to store and process it only to provide the service.
Our intellectual property
Goals for Growth Ltd owns the service, its software, design, documentation and branding. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your plan.
Service level
We work hard to keep SquadBase running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated misuse. When a team ends, we may delete its data after a reasonable period.
Liability
Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. You agree to cover us for claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
General
We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not transfer your account without our consent. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Schedule 1 — Team Data Processing Schedule
This schedule applies to team owners (the "Team") and sets out the terms required by Article 28 UK GDPR. The Team is the controller of team data; Goals for Growth Ltd is the processor.
1. Subject matter and duration
Providing SquadBase to the Team for as long as the Team uses it, plus the deletion period below.
2. Nature and purpose
Hosting, storing, displaying and sharing team data within the Team so it can organise fixtures, availability, line-ups, lifts and emergency contact.
3. Data subjects and data
- Subjects: players (often children), parents/guardians, coaches and staff.
- Data: names, squad numbers, availability, fixtures, line-ups, stats, votes, lift notes and emergency contact name, relationship and phone. No special category (health) data is intended to be processed; the Team must not enter it.
4. Our obligations
- Process team data only on the Team's documented instructions (these terms and use of the app), unless the law requires otherwise — we will tell the Team if so, unless legally prohibited.
- Ensure people authorised to process it are bound by confidentiality.
- Apply appropriate security, including encryption in transit and database-level access controls between teams.
- Help the Team respond to data subject requests and meet its security, breach and impact-assessment duties, taking into account the information available to us.
- Notify the Team without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting its data.
- Make available information reasonably needed to show compliance with this schedule, and allow reasonable audits on notice.
- Tell the Team if we believe an instruction breaks data protection law.
5. Sub-processors
The Team gives general authorisation for the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Notice (currently Lovable/Supabase for hosting, database, sign-in and email, and Cloudflare for hosting network). We will give notice of changes so the Team can object, and will impose equivalent data protection terms on them. Paddle acts as its own controller for payments, not as our sub-processor.
6. International transfers
Any transfer outside the UK will rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards.
7. Deletion and return
When a Team owner deletes the team, data is held for 30 days so the deletion can be cancelled, then erased, except where the law requires us to keep it. Before deleting, the owner may ask us for a copy.
8. Team responsibilities
The Team must have a lawful basis for the data it adds, tell parents how their and their child's data is used, and only invite people it trusts to access the team.
